About Me
Emrys Green, a 'young entrepreneur', an 'emerging artist', a facilitator. My background lies in the foundations of Youth Advocacy work both locally and nationally for the past 5 years - researching and representing the views of a variety of people, working therefore with a wide range of people and establishing a good understanding of different UK cultures and groupings. My other background is in the Performing Arts - having been performing now for 15 years and being a technician (in varying capacities) for the past 6 years where i have developed a sympathy for both sides of the gauntlet and which has built my capacity for project management and creative facilitation.
My Work - Training & Facilitation
The most rapidly developing service i can deliver, having attained an OCN in Training & Presentation i now regularly facilitate a range of meetings, groups, conferences, and projects whilst the training i can deliver ranges from Youth Involvement & Stakeholder Engagement, Policy Embedment, Technical Theatre & Arts, and of course in facilitation/project planning. I have carried out work with a number of organisations and through participation works, whom I work for as an associate trainer, I have worked all over the country. Most recently I have facilitated at events with INVOLVE, Creative Partnerships (Find your talent program), the National Childrens Bureau, British Youth Council, Terrence Higgins Trust, Youth Involvement Participation Partnership East of England, Arts Council England, Terrence Higgins Trust and of course Participation Works.
My Work - Project & Event Management
Having worked in the field of producing and project management for a few years now i have been involved in managing and delivering a whole range of projects from £50 budgets to £millions, whilst my speciality lies in Music & Arts events or Youth Engagement projects the skills are very transferrable and can be implemented to a range of situations. I have received particular training/qualifications in Arts Management, Project management & Ethics, research programmes, evaluations, risk assesments and a variety of others too. I work well as both a larger team and on an individual basis, with exceptional skill in resource allocation within tight budgetary constraints.
I can travel countrywide to deliver project management, conultant services, training or facilitation and am always happy to discuss people's requirements, all fees are on a sliding scale and depend on factors including; the frequency of the work, the time it takes, the nature of the work and for whom (large commercial or small community group). The projects could be for dissemination or research purposes.
My Work - Technical Theatre
I am the Managing Director of CEG Theatre & Enteratinment Services Ltd, a young company with strong social ethics, and the capacity to deliver on a range of events. With CEG we can offer a huge range of services from PAT testing to lighting, sound equipment to first aiders and event management. I am also an associate member of the Association of British Theatre Technicians, and have worked for many Arts Organisations previously.
My Work - Web Development
MDK Web & Media Ltd is my latest venture, where working as the Development Director, i now focus on the management of projects, SEO, Useability/functionality and testing programmes. However i have extensive knowledghe also in CSS & XHTML with a working knowledge of PHP & JS among other languages. www.mdkwebmedia.co.uk
As a Student
I am currently studying for an Honours Degree with Nottingham Trent University at the Business School on a programme called Business Management (In-Company). I am continuing to study for other industry related qualifications as i have the past few years alongside this. Whilst at King Edward VI School in Bury St Edmunds i achieved ABC at A2 level, BBBC at AS level, and AAAAAAABBB at GCSE, my favoured achievements here are attaining 100% in both performance modules of A2 Theatre Studies where i offered design/technical.
